Important Notice to WAGWARE
Customers
We regret to inform you that MakeFaces is no longer available for download,
purchase or any form of support. We are pleased that you or your children
found this application fun and educational but unfortunately we are no longer
able to provide this product to you.
According to a suit filed by
IQ Biometrix, makers of
the
FACES product (used for law enforcement, FBI, etc.) they assert that
MakeFaces, our nostalgic recreation of the popular game for the TI 99/4a Home
Computer called FaceMaker
violated an IQ Biometrix 2004 patent
7,289,647 (continuation of patent
6,690,830 filed on May 28, 1999). As a result, we have agreed to a
consent judgment to halt further sales of MakeFaces and remove the product.
WAGWARE Systems wishes to thank all of our customers for
their patronage and hope that MakeFaces brought many smiles and happiness to you
and your children.
If this program is hosted on your website for
download/purchase, we respectfully request that it is removed.
Regards,
The WAGWARE Team
About MakeFaces
MakeFaces was based, in part, on an 1980's game called
"Face Maker". We updated the interface to lend itself to the Palm/PocketPC, updated the
graphics and kept it simple.
Prior to releasing the original MakeFaces program, we tried contacting Spinnaker software, they apparently moved, changed
company names or are no longer in business. We did find a few links that you may
find interesting reading about the original great program called "FaceMaker" by
